Polarize Lock Mirror, Copper, 1.97 in. Diameter, 10 mm Edge, 100MCC, PLM-W, Bystronic

The 631053-117 CO2 laser cavity polarize lock total reflector mirror is 1.97 inch in diameter with a 10 mm edge thickness and is Bystronic OEM compatible. This 100MCC copper concave mirror features our PLM-W coating with >99.8% reflection of S polarized light at 10.6 μm.

The advantage of the PLM-W coating is that it reduces power loss and consequently increases component’s life expectancy. Laser resonators rely on small differences in the reflectivity of fold mirrors for different polarization states to give a stable linearly polarized output. In some cases, the small reflection gaps of the total reflector mirror coatings are not enough to keep the polarization from fluctuating. Using specific properties of the materials selected in optical coating design, we are able to increase the differences in the reflection of Spolarization compared to P-polarization and achieve a truly stable “locked” polarization.
